Catoosa, Oklahoma
Located on Historic Route 66 just one mile off of I-44 east of Tulsa, Catoosa is the home of the famous Blue Whale and the brand new Cherokee Casino. And now ... the largest all-cowboy and western stuff swap meet in the USA, The Cowboy Trade Day™. Links to Catoosa motels, RV parks, restaurants, etc. will be posted here soon. Please come back in a couple of weeks!
Claremore, Oklahoma
Located approximately 20 miles northeast of Tulsa, and eight miles north of Catoosa, on Route 66, Claremore is a small town with much to offer. We recommend the Heritage Tour found at the Claremore Chamber of Commerce website. There is also a section about Antique shops for the antique lovers. More great offerings in Claremore, Oklahoma include The Will Rogers Memorial and the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum.
You may also want to take a look at the Claremore Expo Center which often has events the same week as The Cowboy Trade Day™ and swap meet.
Now that we've whetted your appetite, you need to know how to get here. The Cowboy Trade Day™ has for several years taken place on the grounds of the Will Rogers Stampede Arena, on East Blue Starr Drive in Claremore, Oklahoma. Now, much to my displeasure, this is no longer the case.
NEW LOCATION:
We have accepted an invitation from the city of Catoosa, Oklahoma to relocate The Cowboy Trade Day™ to their Rogers Point Park and rodeo grounds, on the bank of the Verdigris River. Rogers Point Park is right on Route 66, just about a mile north of the city of Catoosa. Watch for our signs! Our next show here will be held on September 20th, 2008.
